AT-HOME CARE / BROWS & LIPS
Try a soft powder-brow look with everyday makeup.
A removable brow look can help you explain how much definition you actually want.

General education for everyday care and planning. For a fresh procedure, follow your practitioner’s individual aftercare instructions.
Start with the finish, rather than a trend.
Powder and ombré brow enquiries often begin with a familiar makeup preference: softly filled brows that look more defined without drawing individual hairs. Before a permanent-makeup consultation, use your usual removable brow cosmetic to explore that preference. This is a styling exercise on intact skin, not a guide to tattooing.
Make small, reversible choices.
Choose a cosmetic intended for brows and follow its instructions. Build a light amount of colour in the areas you normally fill, then check the effect at a normal mirror distance. Compare a softer front with more even definition through the brow. You can remove the makeup and try again another day; there is no need to force perfect symmetry.
Keep one or two unfiltered photographs of a look you enjoy. Note whether you liked the colour, overall shape or amount of shading. Those details are more useful at consultation than a heavily filtered reference image.
Keep the cosmetic routine clean.
Health Canada: eye cosmetic safety advises washing hands before applying eye cosmetics, avoiding shared makeup and stopping a product that irritates the area. Follow the product’s storage and replacement directions. Keep makeup off freshly tattooed brows until your practitioner says it is appropriate.
If the skin is sore or irritated, pause the styling experiment and seek advice as needed. Trying a new brow tint, peel or strong active just before a consultation can make it harder to assess comfortable, settled skin.
How a powder brow appointment differs.
A cosmetic tattoo is not simply your daily makeup made permanent. Skin, old pigment, shape and the healed colour need assessment. Our powder and ombré brow guide explains the clinic’s approach and links to other techniques. Ask for healed examples and discuss how bold you want the eventual finish to be.
For the best approach to your features and preferences, speak with our Calgary brow professionals. Bring your makeup photographs, details of earlier brow work, and questions about healing, maintenance and cost.
