UNDERSTAND YOUR OPTIONS

Details that help
you decide.

A consultation is a conversation, with space for your questions.

Different concerns. Different techniques.

A scar’s texture, colour, age and location all matter. Our consultation looks at what you would like to change and which approach, if any, may be appropriate.

Inkless revision and pigment camouflage have different purposes. Revision focuses on the appearance of the skin; camouflage uses pigment to reduce visible colour contrast. Your plan may involve one approach, a staged approach, or a recommendation to seek another type of care.

What can we talk about?

Bring questions about stretch marks on the abdomen, arms, thighs or other areas, or about the appearance of a fully healed scar. Share any previous procedures and the changes you have noticed.

Raised, changing, painful or unhealed scars need appropriate clinical assessment. A cosmetic consultation does not replace diagnosis or medical treatment.

Cost, sessions & healing

Your quote is based on the treatment area, the approach and the proposed number of appointments. Small scars and larger areas can involve very different plans.

We discuss healing and reassessment before confirming additional sessions. Individual responses vary, and no treatment can promise complete scar removal. Explore pricing and payment options.

Which concerns belong in a scar consultation?

Healed surgical or injury scars

Explain what you notice: a lighter line, a visible edge, an uneven surface or a broader area. Bring the date and type of procedure, any previous treatment, and whether the scar is still changing. A scar from surgery is not automatically ready for cosmetic work.

Stretch marks after body changes

Stretch marks can follow growth, pregnancy, weight changes or muscle development. The colour and condition of the marks help frame the discussion. Our stretch-mark guide explores area-specific planning.

Raised, painful or changing scars

These need medical assessment rather than an assumption that tattooing or needling is appropriate. A dermatologist can distinguish scar types and discuss medical options. Read the AAD guide to scar assessment and treatment.

Colour, texture and expectations

Start by identifying the change that would matter most to you. If a healed area is lighter than the surrounding skin, ask about the limits of pigment camouflage. If the main concern is texture or the overall appearance of stretch marks, ask what the inkless approach is intended to address.

A consultation may lead to one technique, a sequence of approaches, further assessment or a decision to wait. Ask what improvement would count as worthwhile and how progress will be compared after healing. Complete removal is not the benchmark we promise.

How to prepare for a private assessment

Bring clear photographs in ordinary light and a description of the area, its history and your goals. Share medications, relevant skin conditions, allergies and previous reactions through the clinic’s intake process. Do not change prescribed treatment on your own.

Tell us about clothing friction, exercise, travel and upcoming events so healing requirements can be discussed. Ask about comfort, hygiene, aftercare and who to contact if you have a concern. Virtual consultations can help establish the next step; photographs cannot confirm every aspect of skin suitability.

YOUR QUESTIONS

Before you begin.

Can you completely remove a scar?

The goal is to improve its appearance. A scar cannot be completely erased. We discuss realistic goals and whether cosmetic treatment is appropriate.

Which is better: inkless revision or camouflage?

They address different concerns. Texture, colour contrast, skin history and the condition of the area inform the recommendation.

Do you treat stretch marks on men?

Yes. Our consultation is open to people of all genders. Stretch marks can be associated with growth, body changes, pregnancy or training.

Can I start virtually?

Yes. Start with a virtual consultation to discuss your concerns, ask questions and understand the next step.

Can you assess a surgical scar such as a C-section scar?

You can discuss a healed surgical scar at consultation. Its condition, location and treatment history determine whether a cosmetic approach is appropriate; the surgery name alone does not establish suitability.

Is scar revision the same as laser scar removal?

No. The clinic’s inkless revision and pigment camouflage services are different approaches. If you are comparing laser or medical treatment, discuss those options with a qualified provider and bring that context to your consultation.
